The 2nd edition of Global Water Expo, organized by dmg events, will take place at the Riyadh Front Exhibition and Conference Centre from 24-26 September 2024. The event in the Kingdom doubles in size, with 350 exhibitors showcasing the latest in water management innovations and technologies.
According to an announcement made at the UN 2023 Water Conference, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has allocated a staggering $80 billion towards water projects within the coming year, with a key focus on restructuring the water sector and developing a comprehensive National Water Strategy by 2030.
“Running for its second year and with an increased international participation, Global Water Expo caters to the significant demand for water-related solutions, technologies and expertise, as Saudi Arabia addresses its water needs and adopts new initiatives to improve water management,” said Muhammed Kazi, Senior Vice President at dmg events.

International and local expertise in focus across diverse product sectors
Global Water Expo will host leading companies in the industry and showcase their products and services under four distinctive product sectors, such as drainage and sewage systems; water extraction and treatment; waste management and recycling; and environmental protection.
This year's Global Water Expo boasts a stronger international presence, with exhibitors from more than 35 countries showcasing the best in water-related technologies and innovation from Austria, Bahrain, Belgium, Egypt, India, Italy, Jordan, The Netherlands, Oman, Poland, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Spain, Türkiye, the UAE, and others. The event will also host 10 international pavilions, and some of them are China, Germany, Greece, the USA and the UK.
Leading international players, including Germany-based GI Aqua Tech, a renowned name in the industry and provider of wastewater treatment solutions; Veolia, a France-headquartered leader in water, waste and energy management, TORAY, a leader in designing efficient membrane treatment systems; WILO, one of the world's leading premium suppliers of pumps and pump systems and ABB, a technology leader in electrification and automation, will showcase state-of-the-art products and technologies that can transform the water industry.
The growth of international businesses exhibiting at Global Water Expo also comes on the back of strong local support for the event as the nation’s leading players in the industry join the exhibitor lineup. Global Water Summit presents strategic discussions
Aligning with National Water Strategy, the Global Water Summit organized on the sidelines of Global Water Expo 2024, will be an exclusive high-level gathering of government leaders, policy makers, utility leaders, investors, industrial water experts, innovators, and contractors.
The summit is specially curated in association with the five-member Advisory Board, who are experts and leaders in the water industry. The advisory board comprises Thierry Froment, Chief Executive Officer - Middle East, Veolia; Mohammed S. Halawani, CEO, International Water Distribution Company (TAWZEA); Dr. Ahmed Alamoudi, Director - Desalination & Brine Innovation Solutions, ENOWA Water; Sami Al Harbi VP, Deputy Regional Director-Red Sea Region, ACWA Power; and Dexter Ligsay, Water System Expert, Sports Boulevard Foundation.
Speakers will come together to examine the latest issues of the water sector head-on and provide a truly international platform for pioneering ideas, technologies, and trade. Some of the key topics under the spotlight at the summit include securing global water sustainably with innovation, privatization, and localization, enhancing water demand management across all uses, delivering cost-effective and high-quality water and wastewater services and safeguarding and optimizing the use of water resources.
Organized by dmg events, the Global Water Expo will be co-located with the Saudi Infrastructure Expo, bringing the entire infrastructure value chain together for three days of business, learning and networking.
